Results for F. L. Schlagle High School at the KCKPS Math/STEM Relays which occurred on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

First, here is some background information. The Math/STEM Relays is a district competition consisting of three parts: Team BreakOut, STEM Team Problem Solving, and Team Medley. In Team BreakOut (worth 25% of the overall team score), all team members worked together to solve problems which unlocked locks on a box. Similar to an escape room setup or a previous PD activity run by Mr. Franco, the team had a time limit (45 minutes). In STEM Team Problem Solving (50% of overall team score), the team had one hour to prepare a 10-minute presentation about a pyrotechnics demonstration. In Team Medley (25% of overall team score), one group of students had 30 minutes to solve 30 problems in Number Sense/Algebra while the other group solved problems in Geometry/Statistics and Probability.
