Stallion Debate News…

Congratulations to the F.L. Schlagle debate team. Our team placed third in our recent city match. Aleah Netherland and Chyenne Dickens took individual awards, recognizing them as third and fourth place speakers. Congratulations Stallions! Aleah Netherland and Chyenne Dickens placed first in their division and Eric Martinez-Cardenas placed third in his division at the DKC High School Debate Tournament Oct. 27, 2020.   Congratulations to Cheynne Dickens and Aleah Netherland. This novice debate team posted two victories and only one loss against defending 6A state champion school Overland Park Blue Valley North.

KCKPS School Board Approves Reentry Plan for Students The KCKPS Board of Education approved a phased in approach to in-person instruction beginning with the first group of students returning to school on January 19th. The Administration presented a revised reentry plan to the Board during the regular scheduled board meeting on Tuesday. Phased in approach: Monday, January 4, 2021 All school staff to return to classrooms for preparation of in-person learning. Some essential staff will be asked to return even earlier.
