KCKPS is excited to announce starting on Monday, August 31st, parents can begin pre-registering for the district’s Grab and Go Meal Program.
The program is designed to ensure students are fed during the time they will be learning remotely. The Grab and Go Meal Program will begin on Wednesday, September 9th.
Students must be pre-registered in order to pick up a meal. You can do this by calling 913-627-3900. Please have your child/children’s name, school ID number (can be found a number of places including Infinite Campus), and date of birth available when calling to register.

The district is committed to assuring students are able to get their meals quickly and easily. That is why we will be adding dozens of additional school building locations to our distribution. Pickup locations are based on your home school location. The entire list of buildings will be released soon.
What days will students be able to pick up meals?
Meal distribution will take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 am until 2 pm.
What will my child be fed?
Monday – two lunches and two breakfast plus milk and juice.
Wednesday – one lunch and one breakfast plus milk and juice
Friday – two lunches and two breakfast plus milk and juice.
Examples of breakfast items include granola bar, fruit, fruit juice, and milk. Examples of lunch items include sandwiches, vegetables, fruit, and milk.
When can I start pre-registering for meals and will I have to do it every day?
You can start pre-registering for meals on Monday, August 31st. Once you are registered you will be registered for the entire school year. Everyone registered will receive an ID number that will be used when picking up your meal.
Will it cost for my child to pick up a meal?
Free Students: Breakfast $0.00 Lunch $0.00
Reduced Students: Breakfast $0.00 Lunch $0.40
Paid Elementary Students: Breakfast $0.00 Lunch $1.85
Paid Middle/High Students: Breakfast $0.00 Lunch $2.10
Payment can be made by bringing a check to the Nutritional Services office located 5604 State Ave.
or pay online on the district website under Parents & Students, Online Payments.
What if my child has a food allergy?
If your child has a food allergy please express that information when reserving your meal and pickup location.
One more thing to note, KCKPS will be moving our fresh produce box pickups to Thursday instead of Friday starting on September 10th. The distribution will take place from 11 am until 2 pm at the following locations:

Schlagle High School
Arrowhead Middle School
Carl Bruce Middle School
Rosedale Middle School
Banneker Elementary School
